Metro East was both the very first winner of the A.P. Roffino Award and the most recent. The division’s is working with New Beginning Center, a domestic abuse shelter, to remodel the facility. Approximately 85% of the $20,000 project has been donated. The fourth annual Cars for CASA classic car show in Rockwall featured more than 300 cars and raised more than $22,000 for CASA, an advocacy program that provides support for children under protective services. Metro East also donates money, materials and guidance to three Garland High School Building Trades programs that partner with Garland Habitat for Humanity. The division has built good relationships with area building officials, who are regular attendees at monthly luncheons.
