The Multifamily Builders Council has partnered with the I Have A Dream Foundation for under-privileged inner city youth, donating cash, school uniforms and gift cards. The council also made a cash contribution of $5,000 toward the construction of a new building for The Family Place and donated $2,400 total for the evening meal once each month for Samaritan Inn. More than 200 toys were collected at the council’s annual Holiday Party for donation to Toys For Tots. Largely through the efforts of the Multifamily Builders Council, the Green Built Texas for Multifamily Committee finalized its program last April. The council continues to focus on programs especially for the multifamily segment of the industry: geotechnical and environmental engineering, storm water management, tax credit projects and job site safety.
