Acting on a campaign promise made to home builders, President Trump signed an executive order on Tuesday directing the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to begin the process of rescinding and revising the controversial "waters of the United States" (WOTUS) rule.

For more information on the announcement and why it is important to rescind the rule, click here.

The directive is important for home builders, property rights, farmers and ranchers and the economy.

The Dallas Builders Association advocated for the rescinding of the WOTUS rule in meetings with our service area's congressional members in recent years. We appreciate those members of Congress who weighed in on our behalf. Dallas BA will continue to coordinate with the National Association of Home Builders on this, and other issues important to home building.
