National Wetland Permits Exempted from Regulatory Freeze

Shortly after President Trump took office, his administration imposed a regulatory freeze to allow the review of rules that were issued in the final days of his predecessor. However, there was concern from the home building industry that the freeze would delay the effective date of the reissuing of National Wetland Permits (NWPs). After hearing from the National Association of Home Builders, the White House Office of Management and Budget has exempted NWPs from the regulatory freeze. 2017 NWPs will go into effect on March 19, as originally scheduled
